The Sushi Birthday Cake

Source: the.[ED]ition

Have your friends ever bought you a birthday cake that made you think to yourself “Yep, there is a definite lack of seafood in and on this cake.” Well, worry no more, friends as you can now by cakes made entirely of raw fish. This is the Sushi Deco Cake made by Ryu Gu Jo Sushi Studio.

Hmmmmm. I think I'll pass. I don't like sushi to begin with so I don't think I'd like it on a cake!

I have to sit through a meeting for an hour and a half right now. I will be thinking of this the entire time :-)

Do you think that if you call up a Japanese restaurant in North American and order one of those they would accept? They might charge you an outrageous price for it though.

nah, if I ever wanted one, I'd just make it myself. Get one of those chinese nest noodle things. Buy some take sushi and it on and voila. Sushi cake.

which reminds me, I haven't had that chinese nest noodle dish since I was a kid, i wonder if they're any good.

I just had one of those Chinese noodle nest, with chicken and veggies in the middle. They're still very good.

If you go to a Chinese wedding the noodle nest will always be one of the items in the 12-course dinner.
