A Chinese man has been arrested for pretending to be a woman to marry men for their money.

Wang Mou, 18, allegedly married three men this year and fled with the engagement money, reports the Dahe Daily.

Wang, who is very slim and softly spoken, reportedly admitted: "A lot of people mistake me for a woman on first sight."

His first 'marriage' happened in February when a woman promised to find him a job but instead sold him as a wife for £500.

"She cheated me but I found a chance to escape then realised I could use the same shortcut to make some money," he said, according to the police.

With the help of an accomplice, Wang allegedly then sold himself to a Mr Liu who paid £1,000 for the engagement. Wang escaped the next night and split the money with his accomplice.

Police say he was then introduced to another potential husband, a Mr Zhang in Zhoukou, who also paid a £1,000 engagement fee.

Wang allegedly escaped again but was caught a day later by local women who handed him over to the police after finding out that he was really a man.

Wang was still wearing his pink wedding dress when he was taken to the local police station for questioning.

So if you said girl, you were duped :)

My Dad Vs. GPS

Last week my uncle gave my mom a GPS. She decided to install it into the family car, the one my dad drives most of the time. My dad is in his 60s and pretty set in his ways. He's knows Calgary inside out and any new neighbourhoods that he doesn't know he just looks it up on google maps. If he's in another city, he just buys a map.

So we install the GPS and immediately an argument ensues. First he's trying to get from University to around 1600 Acadia Drive. GPS suggests Deerfoot Trail.

Dad: "This machine is insane! Either take Crowchild to 14th Street South to Anderson. Who the hell would take Deerfoot?" My dad doesn't like taking Deerfoot unless he has to.

Another time he was driving somewhere:

"Turn right in 3 intersections"

"Bullshit, only an idiot would go that way"

It's turning into quite a contest. Odds are 3-to-1 that the GPS will be thrown out the window by the end of the month.

Suits and Backpacks!

While it is not unheard of for men to carry backpacks well past their student years, this is more acceptable in creative industries where casual attire is the norm.

But not only is it virtually impossible to keep documents neat in a backpack, but it is also very likely that your bosses would not be too impressed if you met a client with contracts in your backpack.

Is it appropriate for a man dressed in a button-down shirt, trousers and leather shoes to carry a backpack to work?

She's beautiful!

The reason for this post was to discuss transsexualism. It was not meant to put down transsexuals as some have commented or emailed me. I had a hunch that the poll would result in 'center' winning. The lady in the center is a famous tv personality.
So in fact you really can't tell who's one and who's not so everyone should be treated with respect no discrimination or prejudice.

Sad isn't it that too much of our society is about taboo. It always boils down to religion doesn't it. Not a full person, or not a correct person, or two persons. What a bunch of bullshit. Transsexuals are beautiful people and should be treated as such and not freaks of nature.

Racism? Still?

Resentment towards Vancouver's visible majority

If there's racism in Vancouver there must be in the rest of Canada right?
But here in Calgary I've never felt much racism. Growing up I wasn't a victim of any slurs. I was quite comfortable and enjoyed my high-school years. I work with people from many-races now and there's no problem. And socially I've been been to pretty much every club and bar in Calgary and I've never felt unwanted.

Maybe I'm just lucky.
