Asian Hottie Wanted for Photoshoot

Hahahaha saw this on Craigslist

Hi,

I'm looking for a hot asian female to pose next to my smoking Black Dodge Charger. I love this car & I Love Asian women, so why not combine the two in a commemorative photo? Please wear something sexy (up to your discretion) and be ready for a lovely summertime photo-shoot. You can keep digital copies of the photos for you portfolio, show off how good you look, show your grandchildren... Don't let your beauty fade without some type of historical proof! ;^)

Thank you.

* it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
* Compensation: 100 Dollars cash bucks

Come on. That's ridiculous. $100? It might cost the girl $100 just to get there and back. Teenage girls might go for it? I don't know.. that's just not enough. Not even enough to buy a dress.

LG Display Unveils 'Thinnest' LCD TV Panel

Source: Tech On

LG Display Co Ltd has developed what it claims are the world's thinnest 42- and 47-inch LCD TV panels. Employing the company's edge-lit LED (light emitting diode) backlight system, these LCD TV panels realize a panel thickness of 5.9mm.

The company's proprietary LGS (light guide sheet) technology enabled the company to reduce the thickness of the light guide plate (LGP) by more than half. LGP changes the direction of light beams. In addition, the 42- and 47-inch LCD TV panels weigh in at a mere 6.1kg and 7.3kg each, about 50% lighter than the same size of conventional CCFL-backlit product.

The displays can reproduce a rich range of natural-looking colors with color saturation level of 80% (NTSC). The panels feature the company's 120Hz technology with a motion picture response time (MPRT) of 8ms, eliminating motion blur and boasting full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution.

A) I'm not sure I want a tv that thin. It might break!

B) They finally made a tv thinner than the "Bimbo du jour" presenting it.

"Olympics girl" now highest grossing Chinese child celebrity

Source: Yahoo

Lin Miaoke, the nine-year-old girl who lip-synced at the Beijing Olympics last year, is currently appearing on TV advertisements promoting a plasma television set. An advertiser revealed that the girl was paid a seven-figure sum to endorse the product; a humongous sum exceeding top Chinese celebrities like Fan Bingbing, Zhao Wei and Zhou Xun who averagely receive around S$1million for endorsements. The figure is also challenging Zhang Ziyi's RMB$10million price.

According to the Beijing advertiser, the plasma TV company chose Lin to endorse their products because her healthy image and social influence are in line with the products. Moreover, the plasma TV mainly targets children and youths with its unique eyesight protection capability; as such Lin is thus a convincing and realistic endorsee.

The girl admitted on her blog that upon wrapping up her scenes in Dream of the Red Chamber, she received the invitation by the Sichuan company and agreed to the endorsement without hesitation. The entire process from the invitation to wrapping up the commercial shoot, only took three days.

When a Chinese reporter called up Lin's father to check if his daughter has truly received a seven-figure endorsement fee, he laughed, "How is that possible? It must be a rumour on the Internet. My daughter's endorsement fee is not that high." However, the man refused to reveal the actual figure that was received.

Ah to be a cute kid. We all remember her in the opening ceremony. Much was made ot the lip-synching but there's no doubt that she's really cute and now making money!

Hostess Girls Of China’s 2008 National People’s Congress

Oooh la la says Mao!

Source: chinaSMACK

Formalism (形式主义) has long been a major critique of the National People’s Congress. For all intent and purposes, the presence of Ceremonial girls and hostesses during this year’s National People’s congress (NPC) is a unique sight not seen in other nation’s congressional sessions. Netizen’s reactions toward these pictures of flamboyant Ceremonial girls frolicking on the Tiananmen Square were generally of both awe and dismay.

Everything has to be perfect including the girls!

I don't think this is what the Congress had in mind!

Economy Cancels JAL Cabin Crew Calendar

Source: Mark Mode

After 20 years, Japan Airlines has stopped publication of it’s calendars that feature pictures of cabin attendants. The wall and desktops calendars were first offered in 1989 and have been sold in bookstores, on the internet, and in JAL catalogs. Demand peaked in 1993, with about 100,000 copies printed. For 2009, JAL printed 50,000 of the flight attendant photo calendars. JAL cancelled future editions due to the low demand. The status of JAL’s "World of Beauty", "Fleet" and other calendars is unclear. The cabin crew calendar costs JYP 1500.

Weird! I would think that a calendar would make money! Or just charge a bit more for them and those with flight attendant fetish will still buy them. Can't cost that much to make them. I think they should make more not cancel!
