Since the dawn of women's apparel, men have been trying to score by unhooking brassieres. This contest, however, brings the game to a whole new level.

A Chinese shopping mall hosted a competition to find out who could unclasp bras the fastest using just one hand.

Competitors raced to undress a line of eight masked women who stood on a stage in the Guangzhou mall wearing bras and short-shorts.

Eager participants entered the contest to fulfill their dreams and have the chance to take home a mall gift certificate for 1,000 yuan -- about $146.

The victor, who declined to give her name, said she might have had an unfair advantage over her male rivals.

A 90-year-old tailor coming out of retirement in China says he can make a hand-made brathat fits perfectly just by looking at a woman's breasts.

Ran Yusheng, 90, who retired from bra making last year, said in the run-up to the opening of his new online store that he learned the art of bra making when he was 20 years old and soon discovered that he had a knack for it, China Daily reported Friday.

"I just looked at her breasts and then I could make a bra suitable for her," Ran said.

He told China Daily his skills at bra making helped him to win the affections of customer Wang Huiying, who later became his wife and seamstress. Ran retired after Wang's death last year.

Suuuure a 20-year old who found a good excuse to look at breasts. Bras were probably pretty simple in 1940!

Malaysian woman hid drugs in bra

MELBOURNE - AUSTRALIA has charged a Malaysian woman with attempting to smuggle heroin into Melbourne by hiding the drug in her bra.

Customs Department officials say they suspected the woman may have been carrying drugs when she arrived on Thursday at Melbourne International Airport on a flight from Bangkok.

A female officer conducted a frisk search and found 'inconsistencies' around her bra, which turned out to be a package of white powder, customs officials said in a statement on Friday.

The statement said the package contained approximately 14 ounces (400 grams) of heroin.

The 20-year-old woman will appear in court in April. She faces a maximum penalty of 25 years imprisonment and/or fine of A$550,000 (S$538,000). -- AP
